![]() Open the program when you want to play the game. ForceFix is a simple program that (afaik) temporarily modifies the primary display EDID so that the game doesn't apply its HDMI 24Hz setting.Ģ. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance exhibits a bug that forces 24Hz output on some displays. I use a separate profile in Rivatuner for the game's executable to maintain the normal 60 FPS cap for my other games. Then, Rivatuner can be open at Windows before the game start and will also last indefinitely. However, an even better way to do it is to set the cap to 59.988 FPS rather than 60 FPS. One way to fix it is to start Rivatuner only after starting the game, then the cap will last. ![]() On getting frame times stable or if your frame cap breaks after the game has been open for a few minutes: the vanilla game has a bug where interfaces with external programs start breaking after a few minutes, causing the Special K crashing and invisible Big Picture overlay and breaking your FPS cap. You can create a custom task in Task Scheduler that starts ForceFix.exe hidden at boot so that you don't need to touch the program or see the window at all. Using RustyRed's mod will also allow you to alt-tab properly. ForceFix mod + 60 FPS cap provides the same perfect frame timing as with Special K, but without all the invisible overlay and screenshot crashing issues. ** Due to issues with Special K and the new Big Picture Overlay, I highly recommend using RustyRed's mod ForceFix that's pinned on the main discussion page. ![]()
